Does Australian Permanent Residency (PR) expire?

No, your Australia PR visa does not expire. Once you are granted the status of a permanent resident, you are allowed to live in Australia indefinitely. However, even though the PR visa does not expire, there is still a validity period. You may extend the validity of your visa by applying for Australia PR renewal or a Resident Return Visa (Subclass 155 / RRV).

I did not stay in Australia for two years. Can I still get a PR renewal?
